May 2007:Beyond the Library Corner: Incorporating Books throughout the Curriculum. This issue offers many ideas and suggestions for integrating books into the arts, science, math, social studies, and other curriculum areas and for sharing books with families. You will also find an extensive, annotated list of books reflecting gay and lesbian families and learn about the importance of making the curriculum inclusive for all children.

The numbers indicate which of the 10 NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards are addressed through the content of the article. This notation identifies information relevant to early childhood educators who are engaged in program quality improvement and/or seeking NAEYC Accreditation.
